Less than a month to the inaugural Felixstowe Classical Guitar Festival. This new festival has an impressive line-up of performers, and is unique (in the UK at least) in have competitions for both composers and luthiers. I’ll be one of the judges for the luthiery competition, and Steve Goss is hosting the composition competition.
The luthiers competition is a VERY rare opportunity, and as entries have so far been lower than expected, we’ve decided to open it up to luthiers outside the UK. The competition is open to amateurs, professionals and students this year, so there’s no excuse not to enter, and it’s an excellent opportunity particularly for students and amateurs to get some valuable feedback from professional players and luthiers.
